What Are Wire Tie Down Studs?

Wire tie down studs are used to secure wires to surfaces, such as walls. Traditionally, wire tie mounts were attached to surfaces using adhesives or screws. Over time, the adhesive weakens and may detach from the surface, resulting in costly and time consuming maintenance. Similarly, screwed wire ties are rigid and cannot handle tension very well, resulting in time consuming retrofitting.

Sunbelt carries wire tie down studs that can be stud welded directly onto a metal surface. No drilling or adhesives are needed.

To weld a wire tie down stud, one simply needs to insert the stud extension into the welding gun chuck, position the tie down against the work metal, and pull the welding gun trigger. The weld is completed within milliseconds. Finally, break off the extension with a pair of pliers and you are left with a clean wire tie that can withstand extreme conditions.
